Why you shouldn't use Amazon affiliate program ?

Even yesterday read at DP one guy saying it's totally a waste of time to use Amazon affiliate program. Couple of good reasons were given why Amazon affiliate program is useless and boring. Also why it's better join AdSense, Commision Junction or ClickBank and earn money online rather than trying earn money from Amazon Associates programs. So lets see what are these facts which makes people give up Amazon affiliate program.

• Cookies on Amazon.com is 24 hours only. - Yeah this is any affiliate marketeers nightmare. If your visitor don't buy anything within 24 hours you are not gonna get anything.
• Direct linking is forbidden - This means you can't promote an Amazon product link directly in Adword or any other PPC networks. You need to have a  web site and visitors must goto those links through your web site. Sounds bad isn't it ?
• Little Support - It's hard to get a reply from Amazon associate program support. Probably they get millions of support requests from worried and curious Amazon associates.
• Some publishers from several US States can't use it - Colorado, Rhode Island and North Carolina residents can't participate Amazon associate program due to Tax laws of these status and Amazons dicision to teminate all publisher accounts from these status because of it.
• Only 4% flat rate for electronic goods - If your visitor buys a camera from your link you only get 4% of the sale and rate doesn't increase with amount of items sold by you. So even if you sell 1000 cameras per month still you only get 4%.

Pretty bad ha. Not many logical people would join Amazon Associate program with all these limitations. But It's good for those who have faith on Amazon Associate program because you get less competition Maybe you get only 4% for electronic items but buyers might buy other things along with it and we get commission for all these items too.Also people trust their Brand name so more people buy items from Amazon. So I think Reason which keep people away from Amazon associate program kinda help Amazon publishers in indirect way. I use Amazon Associate program and I can earn same amount from it like I earn from Adsense.
