Axis Bank, one of the fastest growing private sector banks, has introduced e-Wallet card to provide enhanced layer of security to it’s customers. It’s always better not to reveal your credit card details, either online or offline, and Axis Bank e-Wallet card does this very same thing for you.
This concept will secure your online shopping transactions by generating a virtual credit card that can be used only once, and gets expired automatically after 48 hours.
e-Wallet Card is more like a credit or a debit card, and can be used for all secure online payments. But since it’s virtual in nature, the card details can never be used for the second time. Axis Bank customers can log in to their internet banking interface, generate e-Wallet Cards, and proceed to complete any online payments. These cards come with a security feature known as VBV password, and the customer gets notified by SMS if a transaction greater than Rs. 5,000 takes place.
Axis Bank virtual credit cards include the non-expose of actual debit or credit card details to the merchants, ability to create cards with any limits (from Rs. 10 to Rs. 50, 000), 48 hours validity period, and can be used once only. If your card is left with any unused amount, the amount gets reversed to your bank account, which is the funding source to create e-Wallet cards.
How to Create AXIS Bank e-Wallet Card
- Log on to Axis Bank Internet Banking
- From the menu, click “Cards” > “e-Wallet Cards”
- Select the funding source for the card, which is normally your bank account
- Enter the card amount (minimum Rs 10 and maximum Rs 50,000)
